I said "one of the Boston Stranglers" because there's actually a lot of debate among criminologists and true crime fans (not to mention the cops who investigated the cases) over whether or not DeSalvo was responsible for all of the 13 murders. Of course, the DNA evidence did conclusively nail him for one of the murders, but not all of them.

As I said, I got your point. It’s unlikely that DeSalvo committed all the murders, but no one else was referred to as ‘The Boston Strangler’.
