Because the so-called persecution of Christians is nothing but a moral panic by stupid people.  It ain't real.

This is a morale panic if we speak about pseudo-persecutions in "Western World" because they aren't persecuted there by states actors.
But this is a reality in some countries like in some Islamic countries , North Korea and China.

Relatively speaking, other groups face greater persecution in most countries, and, despite claims to the contrary, persecution of Christians hasn't risen dramatically, particularly in countries like the U.S. where such is claimed. What is increasing is the number of people leaving religions in affluent countries. Much as they'd like it to count as persecution, it is no such thing.

This reminds me of a Something Positive comic from back in the day:



For context: the old man (unseen in this particular strip) in question got tricked into going to one of those “Hell Houses.” He spent the arc heckling their little scenarios, eventually going full blast on the 9/11 re-enactment. He refused to come to Jesus at the end (he’s actually a devout Christian, but a pretty decent one who even adopted a bisexual daughter in the early 2000s) and so they refused to let him out.
