I’d settle for one of these:

Just for running down to the shops and whatnot.

Need more firepower here in Tejas. These rednecks would look at that Renault and snicker quietly.

Yeah, Bubba's lifted 4WD F450, for example.

I was stuck behind the vehicle on the left coming home from a job interview in Wexford about seven years ago now:

Has quite a nifty turn of speed for something that saw action in the Irish Civil War (was doing close to 50mph)

RE: Russia and Ukraine
I’m reading that 45 old Soviet Tanks are also being provided to Ukraine as a part of the new US aid package. Zelensky also said in May that the shortage of artillery rounds has also ended. I’m reading about 3,000,000 155mm, 800,000 105mm, and 400,000 152mm artillery rounds. I don’t know if these are US made or old Soviet shells from third countries.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-supplied-u...02452.html

This is a key issue because Russia is producing 250,000 / month or 4 million rounds / year. The US in comparison is producing 28,000 artillery shells / month and is aiming at increasing the number to 80,000 / Month by the end of 2024.

It’s amazing how the Russians have managed to maintain all these munition factories from the 80’s with all the deindustrialization that happened after the fall of the Soviet regime. Sad

RE: Russia and Ukraine
NATOs estimate of russian production includes by matters of process all 152mm and 122mm, as well as every rocket and mortar round right down to the single man light infantry models. Thus, it looks dire in comparison to the amount of 155mm shells that the us end of the comparison is based on, for example, alone. Meanwhile, russia says they will only be able to produce half of their projected needs/aspirational goals this year.

Look at the man to your left....one of you will be out of ammo unless half of you are dead.

RE: Russia and Ukraine
Romania pledged a Patriot battery. A few weeks ago, Germany pledged another one.

That being said: A co-worker of mine, and good friend, had a business trip to Iasi, two weeks ago. Iasi is at the border to Moldova. I followed his flight on flightradar24, and while he was touching down, an E3 Sentry was circling a mere 100km to the south near the border to Ukraine. A painful reminder that it takes you a mere 2,5 hours of flight from Germany to be in a war zone, an actual fucking war zone.
