Maybe we could have a thread about what Satanists are doing.

The Satanic Temple unveils holiday display in city plaza in front of NH State House

Near the city Christmas tree and a nativity scene, a new holiday display now stands in the city plaza in front of the State House.

As a group gathered there shouted “Hail Satan!”, a black tarp was pulled from atop the statue, revealing a black Baphomet with bright yellow eyes. In its right hand, the statue grasps a bouquet of lilacs, and in its left, an apple sits in its palm, representing “a quest for knowledge, defiance in the face of arbitrary authority, and our commitment to self-determination,” according to Orpheus Gaur, a minister with the temple’s New Hampshire and Vermont congregation, and also a director of the Satanic Representation Campaign, during the display’s reveal, which was streamed live on Facebook. He also designed the statue, according to a press release.

“My constituents and I felt that it was very important, in order to keep with the constitutional principle that government should not give preference to one religion, to see equal representation among faiths in front of the State House,” said state Representative Ellen Read, a Newmarket Democrat, in a press release. “It is hard for anyone to find fault with the TST seven tenets, and they are completely in keeping with the holiday spirit of all faiths.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Satanists Infiltrate Ohio School Program, Create 'HAIL' Meetings to Counter Bible Study

Satanic Temple representative June Everett said HAIL is a counter-movement against LifeWise Academy, a Christian released-time program available at Edgewood Elementary, WOSU reported.

"We really are no fan of it," Everett said. "We do believe strongly in religious pluralism and religious freedom. But we would absolutely go away if they stopped doing their program."

"But until they can, you know -- as long as they continue to offer this to the public schools and demand that they be in the public schools, we will be there as well," she said.

Four students have enrolled in HAIL so far, according to WSYX in Columbus, Ohio.

"As long as there's one child wanting to attend and one family wanting to send their child, that's all that we care about. We're not in this for the numbers," Everett said. "We are not devil worshipers," Everett said. "Different Satanists across the United States will give you different answers depending on how they personally believe. But as a whole, we are non-theistic, meaning we don't believe in any supernatural deities, and that includes, you know, God or Satan."

RE: Satanic News
The Satanic Temple does a good job of reminding Christianists of the implications of getting special privileges for religious groups. If the fallout of their involvement is that no one gets to to put their religious display on government property, they're more than fine with that.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

They should have simply put up a Christmas tree, some holly and mistletoe then waited to see how long it took the Christians to get the joke.

I suspect they’d be waiting a long, LONG time.

I fucking love this, if christians want the right to put up a display, then everyone should have that right. I've been a member of TST for a few years, and I applaud their efforts.
One of the things on my bucket list is to visit the "black" house in Salem, MA. in person and see their Baphomet statue.

RE: Satanic News
Christians have already destroyed it.

Quote:The Satanic Temple holiday display was up for less than 48 hours, before it was vandalized in Concord on Monday.

Mayor Byron Champlin doesn’t condone the damage – “vandalism is never an appropriate response to this”

At Concord City Council on Monday night, Champlin expressed his disappointment that city staff and council members supported a permit for the display, in his closing remarks.

“I oppose the permit because I believe the request was made not in the interest of promoting religious equity but in order to drive an anti-religious agenda.”

Rep. Ellen Read, a Newmarket Democrat, first contacted The Satanic Temple about a display a few months ago. For years, the Knights of Columbus Concord Council, a Catholic organization, has set up a creche, depicting the birth of Jesus Christ outside the State House.

To her, The Satanic Temple display provides religious variety, upholding a core tenet of the First Amendment that the government cannot establish a religion.

RE: Satanic News
Fucking cowards, will the authorities even bother investigating who specifically did this? Probably not.
