Work's wifi blocks this forum. So if I want to visit the forum at work on my break, I have to turn off the wifi on my cell.

I hope the food was decent because the accommodations look sketchy.
Apparently, the woman in the photos works there.

I’ve had similar experiences with certain Wi-Fi networks, except instead of just blocking this site, it’s just so shit at browsing the entire web that i have to turn off Wi-Fi altogether just to do any browsing. I call them shitstreams, because I haven’t found a better word for them.

It is apparently possible for one person to be so shit at taking care of children that an entire city's high infant mortality rate can be pegged on them specifically.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Robert Todd Lincoln was at his father's deathbed. He was also an eyewitness to the shooting of James Garfield and was nearby when William Mckinley was shot.
He is reputed to have declined a later presidential invitation by saying, 'No, I am not going, and they'd better not ask me, because there is a certain fatality about presidential functions when I am present.'

Apparently, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode (read: functionally the entire band, now that Fletch is dead) are both autistic. Unfortunately, however, it looks like the interview where they confirmed this is A) In Dutch, B) hidden behind a fucking paywall.

The Minoan island of Crete is north of Africa and east of Spain.
It's too early in history for the main characters to be anywhere near Jerusalem to the east. Maybe in a sequel.

The closest thing the island of Crete has to predators is the Cretan Wildcat.

If you remember the Ruby Franke/8 Passengers child abuse case from a year and a half ago, well, it turns out that, especially after Jodi moved in and kicked Ruby’s husband out of the house, the two cunts* were actually fucking all along. And it looks like, sexually, Jodi was the more dominant one in the relationship.
* If this seems like a particularly … strong choice of word, just look at what Jodi and Ruby actually did to the Franke children. They have absolutely earned that title.
