What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
I've been taking classes on comic book art by professional comic book artist David Finch. I've been practicing the Loomis Method for drawing heads and it's really leveled up my art.

The longest running play in American history (outside of a few annually staged pageants) is an adaptation of an 19th Century temperance play called The Drunkard, a success in its own time, but by 1933, became to the post-Prohibition world what Reefer Madness was to anyone who’s ever been within smelling distance of Cannabis.

It’s played almost every Saturday night in Tulsa’s Spotlight Theater since 14 November 1953, pausing only for the plague.

When she wrote The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie gave the rights to the play to her grandson as a birthday present. Given the fact that it's the longest-running play in the world - 30 000+ performances - it was one helluva gift.

I've been learning about how to use line weight as a method of shading art. I draw comic book style art.

I went to lunch with my boss yesterday. She wanted it to be a social thing, not work-related. She gave me flowers and a gift for my birthday. Today I found out that she changed my pay rate - I got a raise. She didn't say a word about it; just entered it into the software.

In an eerie coincidence, my boss brought me lunch today. No flowers or gifts. but I did get a 'raise'.  Naughty

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
