I don't think there is a get out of jail free card. Of course Dawkins doesn't understand the point of theology, so you're in good company. Theology already has the answers but you'd rather trust in the unknown. Sounds more like superstition than science.

Theological assertions are "mind independent" but conclusions from those assertions aren't. If you need to establish something objectively this is still special pleading in theology.

So theology is not at all objective, are you saying? I agree. That's why I don't see how it can on earth be studied at all as a genuine subject! How can theology be a genuine subject if, indeed; God doesn't exist as he almost certainly doesn't? How is "God "to be studied then, in any way, shape or form?

Maybe but while that kind of view is allowed space on this forum, whilst it is allowed to go as unchallenged by most as it is, I can no longer see the point of debating the subject. How can you discuss theology when you deny it at the same time?? Answer = you don't want to discuss it - you want to justify dismissing it and replace it with science which doesn't cover it. Ergo God can't exist because it doesn't fit scientific models.
