Welcome to dah forums, Mel. And here's your hug -
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Welcome to the forums! I'm pretty new too.
Going to church is not a dirty word, it implies hatred. Some of us may disagree with the ideology and the logic of it, but disagreement with what people believe is a far cry from disagreement with the person themselves.
All the best
Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog
If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic. ― Tim Minchin, Storm

I am not as grammatically correct as my much smarter younger sister (who says having a degree from a University makes you smarter?:p). I love my sister, she is also my best friend, but I still like to make little digs at her when I can. Yes, for those of you that are wondering, when we were younger she could whoop my ass. I was teeny tiny back then. Now all I have to do it just sit on her! Hoorah!
Post Card Grace? hehehe She is going to love that when I tell her. Of course, she is a Bible reading Christian (dead serious) and not as open to others views as her very cool Christian mother and also very cool Atheist Aunt....so I might fib a little about what type of site she's referred to Post Card Grace on.
Thank you everyone for all your help with the Post Cards! Also, thanks for giving my anti-social little/big sis something to do:p
Shelly, How do I know if anyone responds to something?
Nooooo, don't fib. It's be nice if more Christians didn't think we were all assholes.

What does the 14 year old want to study?? We have some fantastic Universities and Technical Colleges here.
It really isn't too bad here but the place does SEEM to have a tendency to try and kill you if you are no careful.
By the by...this forum tends to get rather addictive and there are so many fascinating atheists.
lol@ an invasion.
She wants to study law. She has her heart set on Harvard as a graduate program. No real plan yet for where she wants her undergrad to come from. She is super smart, athletic and beautiful. That girl has got it made in the shade...seriously. If she was not my daughter I would be jealous. haha
I can tell this forum is addicting. I'm already thinking I am up past my bedtime. I work outside of the home so I won't be able to post as much as my sister....Unless...does this site have a cool smart phone app? If not...it needs one.
TapTalk is your friend there (assuming you have a smart phone)
Still before lunch here Mel B ...so good night and sleep well.
I do have a smart phone...but when I looked up TapTalk on the applications market it didn't show up. Any other suggestions?

I don't know....Shel looks pretty hot in that new avatar pic.
Of course at my age I'm not too picky.
Mel is pretty cool. She is also pretty short . . . compared to me.
Min, was there ever a time that you were picky?
I am short compared to all of you. I'm the shortest by far! But the funny thing is that I am not all that short. 5'5" Being raised in my family prepared me for raising my tall children haha. Thankfully I still have Grace, who for the moment is shorter than me.

Tiberus,
No, you may not. I need her to take care of me in my old age.
