I agree about Superman, normally... but this new one is actually called "Man of Steel" and looks like a much darker take on it. It might actually be good.

Also, has anyone else heard that they are remaking "Logan's Run"? O.O!

You have a point, but I have a soft spot for watch the Christopher Reeve Superman movies from childhood.

I hope they are able to come up with a decent story. I think that is why they have taken so long to reboot it. The last one just didn't work.

...and have poorly defined powers that can seemingly be improvised as the script requires. And have one weakness which is an element in a distant solar system that somehow comes up every other episode. And have a two-dimensional Dudley-Do-Right personality.

He gets credit for being a pioneer. If I'm not mistaken, he was the first in what was at that time a brand new genre. But that doesn't mean we don't have better versions of the concept today. It's way past time to retire him to the history-of-comics textbooks.

Point is, superman sucks because he's pretty much completely unstoppable which is no fun.
