I laughed hysterically for five minutes straight when I found it and then I found this thread... it had to be done.

It's got a bit of a dual meaning. On one hand, in heaven we would lose this idea that humans are special and realize that we're just a bunch primates. Most of all, however, heaven needs some humor, and even though I feel guilty about it, I find smoking chimpanzees to be quite hilarious.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

(Don't know if you've ever heard of The Goon Show, a classic BBC radio show of the fifties starring Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers. Their humour was so surreal it redefined comedy forever - without them there would never have been Monty Python.)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Already have heaven, don't need to die to go there

The mudra in classical depictions of shri Kali are interpreted as that beckoning to the Shakta to come hither, and be welcomed into the blessed cessation of illusion that is death. (The only true escape from Maya, illusion.)

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
