Meanwhile in the world of science
Quote:Astronomers say that one in six stars hosts an Earth-sized planet in a close orbit - suggesting a total of 17 billion such planets in our galaxy.

The result comes from an analysis of planet candidates gathered by Nasa's Kepler space observatory.

The Kepler scientists also announced 461 new planet candidates, bringing the satellites' total haul to 2,740.

Their findings were announced at the 221st meeting of the American Astronomical Society in California.

According to wikianswer there are 730 religions in the world (and many more sects).
730 x 17000000000= 1,24100 × 10 exponent 13 possible religions galaxy-wide!
Now let god sort 'em out! Tongue

Seriously, astronomers/astrophysicists/astrobiologists/etc, find life. I'd love to hear the religious try to justify such a finding.

I have discussed this possibility with a southern baptist, his answer was that the bible does not explicitly say that god only placed life on earth so finding life anywhere else does nothing to disprove him/her/it.

It sure would throw a curve ball into anybody's Christology to suggest that Jesus was fully divine and fully human, Klingon, Vulcan, Andorian, etc, etc....
