I work for a company that makes MRI magnets. They're 1-3 T in strength. For reference, the Earth's own field is only 25 to 65 µT (depending on the location).

Needless to say they're fun to play with. They wipe a hard drive pretty much instantly. They can pull a wrench out of your pocket from over two feet away. Attempting to cut through the lines of force with a slab of steel feels like you're trying to lift a plank with a 400-pound man standing on it.

Wrenches and screw drivers wouldn't be much better than the knife CD.
