I hail from the DC metropolitan area, and we have a very unremarkable accent around here (possibly since we have so many different people here from all sorts of different places), I might do this some later time, but my accent is like vanilla, totally inconspicuous and unremarkable, not the kind where you would be able to tell where I come from (my voice however, is fantastic, or so I've been told).
I do feel the need to point something out that absolutely NOBODY should care about. There are three unrelated species of arthropods that are referred to as "daddy-long legs," a family of cellar spiders, a separate order of arachnids known commonly as harvestmen, and the crane-fly. It doesn't help that the cellar spiders and the harvestmen look very similar.

I've cared about this before. A lot of things called daddy longlegs are really spiders but not the type I've ever seen in Texas.
This is what I've seen here that we call that: A true daddy-long-legs is actually not a spider at all! Unlike other arachnids, which have 2 body segments, a daddy-long-legs just has 1. They not only have no venom, they also have no fangs. They have a tough time killing anything, let alone a human being. They usually feed off of dead plant and animal matter.

On top of that, growing up Cicadas were called Locust by everyone. Locust were just called another type of Grasshopper.
So growing in church hearing about a plague of locust I was picturing huge hordes of Cicadas flying over Egypt.
Let my people go or these fuckers are going to fly around screaming at you.
How weird.

You sound young, Nora! May I ask how old you are?

I don't know about that... I've met some native Washingtonians with very pronounced accents. But I'm from the mid-west (mainly), I think everyone has an accent

Very cute voice! <3
This is a fun game. Gives me an excuse to have my voice out there. I need to vlog, but have nothing to vlog about.

As a native Long Islander, you will hear me pronounce Long Island as "Lawn Guyland" and street as "shreet". I also change the "o" to "aw" and I change "hu" to "you" in most words. No matter how frequently I've lived outside New York, my accent is relentless. I finally began losing it about ten years ago, but then I returned to the island and got it back. Lol.
