I'm not pro-abortion but I'm also not pro-tell-you-what-to-do-with-your-body. If you don't force me to carry to term, I won't force you to carry to term. Seems fair to me.

Because Nora is actually a member I respect. And she stays here despite people disagreeing with her at times, and she tends to contribute arguments most the time. Her 'kill yourself' post was a meme and was clearly intended for humor. I will almost always excuse humor posts, especially as someone who indulges in those myself.

Pro-lifers are not against abortion because they want to tell a woman what to do with her body. They believe that the fetus is a living human being and therefore deserves protection. The body in question is a separate living organism with it's own DNA, separate from the mother's. The fetus feels stimulus and reacts to it. It's a moral and human rights issue. Does the mother care about her child inside her which she helped create or does she only care about herself and her own needs?

A foetus is not a separate living organism until it's removed from the "mother" (who is also a human being and therefore deserves protection). Until that point, it's part of her body, regardless of it's DNA. Whether not to force her to have a child against her will is the moral and human rights issue here.
And no, if I was pregnant and didn't want a baby, I wouldn't care about the foetus and would rather kill it than have my (and as a result, my potential child's) life ruined.

I find it quite rare too see her acting rationally. Usually she seems to degenerate in too insults and ad hominem attacks very quickly on issues like this.

I say if a thing couldn't possibly have any desire to live or not live, then killing it is of no moral problem. Aborting a fetus is little different than aborting a tomato.
