It's not a dodge. The analogy of wet paint doesn't work because when an atheist tries to touch the paint, he gets nothing on his hands. There's nothing in this world that leads to supernatural causes. Even if you insist on a created universe, you still don't have evidence of a theistic deity that cares what you do.
You have a book of stories. Wonderful. There are lots of books of stories. So what?

Wow, okay. I guess I have to actually explain the joke to you. The humor here is derived from the contradiction between the faith people like you will afford large, impossible claims like the existence of god, when you won't extend even a modicum of that same faith to mundane claims, such as the existence of wet paint. It's a shot at how little you religious folks think about religious claims.
To say "atheists are the ones touching the paint, hurr durr!" strips the humor from the joke, because it strips the premise from the joke, because atheists don't extend such large amounts of faith toward gods in the first place. The behavior of atheists- touching the paint to investigate the veracity of the claim that it's wet- is entirely within character, and also entirely justified, in some respects. You can't cut out the setup for the joke in an ill conceived, childish shot at atheists without also invalidating the punchline.
Also, what "reality of truth," did you expose, in your last post? All you did was go "nuh uh, that's what atheists do!" without actually considering the content of the joke you were responding to.
Oh wait, I get it! The "reality of truth" was how completely idiotic you can be in defending your faith! Nice one!
