A Colorado Springs pastor is accused of soliciting gay men for sex online, then attacking them and robbing them under the guise of a U.S. marshal making an arrest.

According to Denver’s CBS Channel 4, friends and relatives of Set Free Christian Ministry’s Rev. Michael Abromovich are completely baffled to discover his secret other life.

Bill Gothard, who headed a Christian-based family institute and once hobnobbed with GOP Governors Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, and Sonny Perdue, has been relieved of his duties at the institute he founded over allegations of harassing women who worked at his ministry and failing to report child abuse cases.

According to Religion News Service, Gothard, 79, has been suspended from the Institute in Basic Life Principles, which he founded in 1961, following a series of allegations posted at the Recovering Grace website.

One allegation claims that Gothard molested an under-aged woman in the early 1990s. Additional allegations charge Gothard with sexual harassment and failure to report child abuse to Child Protective Services.

In a statement posted this week, board chairman Billy Boring told World magazine: “After completion of the review, the board will respond at an appropriate time, and in a biblical manner.” Until then, the statement said, Gothard “will not be involved in the operations of the ministry. The board of directors will be prayerfully appointing interim leadership.”

Maybe that means they'll stone the motherfucker?

A Louisiana pastor was arrested over the weekend on charges that he raped a 20-year-old woman, and car theft charges.

According to The Advocate, 43-year-old David “Scott” Lemley of Baton Rouge’s New Harmony Baptist Church was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Saturday.

Arrest documents showed that he had been accused of having sex with a woman who had “the medical documentation mental capacity of a 7-year-old.” The woman’s father had told her to have sex with Lemley because the pastor’s wife was too ill, the documents said.

A 59-year-old South Carolina pastor was arrested and charged with sexual assault for a second time after a 16-year-old girl in his congregation said he attacked her during “private sessions of prayer,” WACH-TV reported.

Police in Sumter said the alleged victim told them Larry Durant assaulted her at his Word International Ministries building there on multiple occasions between November 2012 and April 2013.

Durant was also arrested in June 2013 and charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct after three other female church members reported Durant coerced them into sex by calling it “private prayer,” both at the church and at his home.

A Washington-based evangelical ministry is seeking corpses to pray over to test their ability to raise the dead.

Founder Tyler Johnson claims his ministry has successfully resurrected 11 dead people, although he’s unwilling to provide case studies.

But one example of resurrection his followers cite is less than convincing, such as the case of a heart surgeon they claim brought a heart attack patient back to life with prayer – and a defibrillator.
