Of course a parent's going to teach them how they think that the universe works. Everyone, from the WBC to atheists, "abuse" their kids. What you and I call freethinking they call brainwashing. What you and I call brainwashing they call freethinking. People who have a belief will raise their kids in that set belief, and to the opposing viewpoint that's child abuse. In short, your premise shows a very shortsighted view on the whole issue.

The example Boris gave I would say is a form of abuse, but I wouldn't consider my raising as a catholic as abuse. Obviously it's a person by person case. Some families are a little bit more extreme then others, that's for sure.

Do you deal well with authority in real life or do you resent anyone having authority over you? What we call pedophilia, others call marriage. What we call beating, some call discipline.
