An unanswerable question

Too stupid to realize that, even if his god was real, that just adds one more opinion about morals to the mix.

Ah.....

So you are a little weak on this whole "faith" thing.

God may be displeased with you!

There's no such thing as blind faith for me, so no, he isn't :p :D

<edit> but what do I know. I'm talking about my problem not God's.

(You made me go there :p )

Actually, notwithstanding your assertion, what you've basically said is that I, an atheist, am fully capable of doing good things without your spiritual instruction book.

The word of God is sufficient.

No, something can only be good if it glorifies God. You do not glorify God.

Well thanks for letting us know what it takes to to be the sort of deed you consider good. Are you really conceited enough to think only your evaluation of what is good counts for anything at all? That sure doesn't seem like the kind of meek which will allow you inherit the world.

If your girlfriend told you the she was prego, and you had to pay for 18 years of child support or pay for an abortion (just FYI it's the same as killing a baby) which would you choose?

Somehow God is a monster for ordering the deaths of say 100? 1000 ? A million? people total?? but 'we' are justified to have killed a billion plus babies, (since 1980) and the number still is climbing. all in the name of a woman's right to choose..

We are told to judge not LEST we can be judged using that very same measure. If your swing the baby killer sword at God know it is double edged, especially if you are a pro choicer.

I nominate this as the douchiest misdirection of the year. Allow me to get out my Drich translator and explain this answer ...

I have no way of answering that question because I can't actually admit that I could never kill my own family even for god, thus proving I don't have true faith. In addition, this shows that it would be logical to assume that if it can't happen today, than it likely didn't happen thousands of years ago either.
I will now misdirect the conversation towards some lame anti-abortion propaganda even though I don't have a leg to stand on that issue either...

I'd be interested and appreciate a reply from the theists that are observing or replying here ... would you really murder a baby if god(s) told you to?

You want a prophecy with that? I'm running a special offer this week.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Ok, let me get my ball out:

Whoops; I'll try that again:

Damn - better make this quick!

Will the resident theists show up soon to answer Shep's question?

Well, there you go. One guaranteed prophecy, fresh from the oven.

I'd murder a baby for cash. Does that count?

(I already answered no. See above)
