Lingering superstitions?

Do you have any lingering superstitions? Avoid black cats? Don't open your umbrella indoors? Never stick tongue out at the back of the scary old lady you thought was a witch? Don't take coins from a dead man's pocket?

Karma. I know there is no such thing, but sometimes I start to believe it might be real....but then I snap back out of it.

I suppose I just want people to get what they deserve, good or bad.

No superstitions here. I rifle through the pockets of every corpse I come upon.

I used too, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

I try to avoid commenting on nice weather as it seems to make it start raining.

No superstitions as such but I do catch myself thinking in ways that connect me to the universe that are obviously ludicrous looking at it cold.

For example. I am watching my team play football. I need to go to the loo. I "know" that if I go they will score and I will miss it.

Now really I do know there is no connection between my toilet visit and the game. All the same - they always bloody do!

That's not superstition. That's Murphy's Law. Most people think Murphy's Law is just a cynical way of viewing things, but it's actually a proven scientific law. That's why I always carry an umbrella - it decreases the likelihood of rain.
