Ok I admit it

Guys, God asks for us to have faith. I don't know why he does, but that seems to be his thing. So please just accept Jesus into your heart and avoid the risk of Christianity being true and having to burn in Hell forever.

We've now graduated to the "science in my holy book" section of apologetics. *Sigh* (March 3, 2014 at 5:49 pm)JesusLover1 Wrote: Guys, God asks for us to have faith. "Faith" doesn't justify believing for a thinking person. Neither do desperate pleas or threats of imaginary torment in an imaginary place. What if that robber with his gun to your head, told you to slit your parents throats and he would let you live, but he would also give you a million dollars. Does that stop it from being blackmail? Does that extra incentive give you a choice?

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House “Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom "If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. Please guys, just study the word faithfully for about 5 years, without skepticism that it isn't the devine word of God. If after that you still don't feel anything, then I'll understand why you don't believe.
No thanks. We've been over this. You don't seem to listen to anyone.
I cannot unlearn the things about the cosmos that I have learned. These things speak to the fact that there is no supernatural force at work anywhere. You are continuing to imply that everyone here is just on the fence, needing a push. I think I can safely speak for everyone here when I say that we're good.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

It's called Pascal's Wager, and it's not a valid argument because there is more than one religion in the world and you are likely to be punished more harshly for believing in a false god than not believing in one at all. So actually, choosing to believe in Christianity is a greater risk than atheism.
How about you go and investigate bigfoot without any scepticism, seriously time for you to go away now dumbass

If I'm such an idiot than why would the majority of the American population agree with me over any one else in this thread?
