Should I hide my atheism? I remain mostly anonymous on the webs because I'm afraid that certain people might google me and find out that I'm an atheist and write me off as an amoral baby eater or something. I know not hiring someone because of their religion or beliefs is against the law but I've read that there is still reason to hide your beliefs from the web if you expect to get hired in some places. I'm planning on getting into the US Air Force where my beliefs shouldn't be an issue.

Being anonymous on the internet is practically impossible, hence why a couple of years ago I just started using my own name when registering new accounts.
Of course, my real name isn't Adrian Michael Hayter, it's Joseph Tiberius Peterman. (April 3, 2010 at 2:41 pm)The_Flying_Skeptic Wrote:(April 3, 2010 at 2:20 pm)Darwinian Wrote: NO! It's because I thought Darwinian sounded better than Jack Pritchard for the purpose of a forum moniker. I certainly don't try to hide the fact that I'm an atheist, nor do I shout about it, apart from my large collection of atheist t-shirts of course
We all know if Jack had the chance he'd rename himself "Darwinian Pritchard" anyway.

I vote no unless it will totally ruin your life.
