In general, I'd say "no". But if you're in a position where you could lose your job, maybe you depend on parents and could get kicked out...well those are mitigating circumstances in which a "yes" would be acceptable. It's all about what you are comfortable with. No one should force you to be out.

Though its not in my position to tell you what to do, you understand, but I think you'll agree that the only way to clear up any erroneous misconceptions people have about atheism is to actually talk about it, to confront and address the issue head-on until others understand you share the same values they do, the same humanistic values that we all hold dear and embrace in this life. You cannot rely on die-hard theists understanding through honest enquiry what atheism is all about by themselves, a topic matter they have no initial interest in. If I hadn't admitted to being an atheist years ago and explained my position, my parents would still go around thinking atheists are ne'er-do-wells who 'believe in nothing'.
You'll find there are more Linux users on this forum.

I still count myself as a Linux user, despite the fact I use Mac OS X now
To be fair though, I do have Linux running virtually, and this server runs it. |
