Wrong.
Most of the people don't give up their habits easily.
No matter what the doctor say.
They usually continue to follow their old habits.
The smokers keep on smoking cancer or not cancer.
They just go outside the entrance to smoke with the drips on.
Those who eat chips or chocolates keep on doing so
and the same for those who eat other types of shit like meat.

Put in this way.
The waiter bring the food on your table.
He got two dishes.
In one dish there is sentient and delicious food.
In the other dish there is a turd.
What an intelligent person would do?
He would tell the waiter to leave the delicious food and stick
the turd back in his ass, wouldn't he?
The same apply to physical science.

Don't worry Jako.
At least for the time being.
Considering that you may believe that there is only one life
try to enjoy as much as you can and forget the rest.
For me is a different story.
I do believe in physical reincarnation so i have to worry about every action
as my karma will affect me in the next life as well as this life.
Food made the cells and these cells can be sentient (good) or tamasik (bad) according to their origin.
The cells make the body and affect the mind and the subconscious
so i try to avoid the food that build up bad cells.
How do i know that certain food is bad?
The teacher said so?
Sure the teacher said so but at the same time he gave the evidence as well.
If you don't believe try for yourself said the teacher.
Just try to meditate even after few days that you eat meat, fish, eggs,
onion, garlic, mushrooms and of course after smoking, drinking or using drugs.
It is impossible so from here you can understand that tamasic food and the higher things in life can not go hand in hand. Cool Shades

One of my brother is a doctor in economy.
He studied for many years.
He then worked in a bank for 40 years.
Now he is retired.
He helped the capitalist system to stay alive
and well.
He knew the science behind capitalism.
Well, there is a small problem with this science.
Capitalism is now FUCKED.
This science is based on exploitation, speculation,
price fixing, monopolies and little regard for mother nature.
Now if according to you this science like all other science is good then we shouldn't have the majority of the global population struggling.
There shouldn't be corruption, nor price fixing nor hoarding of commodity in order to push the price up and there shouldn't be pollution nor wars and all the people wouldn't have a reason to cut each other throat.
So where is the good in this and many other science that you are talking about?
Show me boy, show me. Wink ShadesConfused FallWink Shades

RE: The redneck strike again.
What the hell are you talking about? Bankers and economists aren't scientists. That whole paragraph is totally irrelevant. Also, science has nothing to do with capitalism, I really don't know where you got that from. Corruption, price fixing and hoarding of commodities.....again, irrelevant to science.
But the reason we have pollution and wars over resources is because science doesn't have all the answers yet. But they are advancing.
Where is the good in science you ask?
Well, the internet for one, is a creation of science. The very reason you can express your ridiculous assertions to us is because of science.
Also, medical breakthroughs, vaccines and treatments for disease, genetic illnesses, cancer, aids, typhus, cholera, dysentery etc.
The reason we have sewers, clean water to drink and food readily available is due to science.
Transportation. Due to science, we now have vehicles that can travel the globe in a short space of time. We can go places that 150 years ago, no one could. We can trade valuable resources with other countries.
We can genetically engineer crops to be more hardy and nutritious, that helps 3rd world countries like places in Africa and india.

The car or bus or bicycle you take to your hospital is a result of science. The drugs you administer to patients, are a result of science. The medical equipment you use to save lives is a result of science.
We can transplant organs for Christ sake! Need a new heart! Sure here you go! How about a new lung, kidney, liver.

So when you ask, where is the good in science? I want you to understand just how stupid a question that is. You should be thoroughly embarrassed. You take for granted everything that science has done to improve your life.

Rick, what meds are you on now? Come on, in the name of scientific interest?

We all know how you love science. Hey, if I guess what you're on and you're on it, would you take that as a sign that intuitional science is real? Despite the fact it's all made up and you probably thought about it (not sure if you can think, though) in your padded room?

Off topic, but can the mods put a disclaimer on this thread highlighting the fact that the OP In all probability is on medication for being deranged? Just to cover the bases, tis all.

1.Spiritualism is bullshit and ill never believe in it,You have no evidence for it,because its just a bunch of primal fears.

2.You have to admit unless you are their doctor you have no idea what their eating habits where your just making assumptions.

3.What you said made no sense. If you dont accept
ALL FACTS then you are cherry-picking.Science makes perfect sense.

Either put up or shut up.

I think having the name 'enrico' at the head of it is enough for that.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You see how stupid you are.
People study 5-6 years at the uni to understand how the system works
and you telling me that this is not science.
I see the wardsman pulling or pushing the linen trolley
they know that if they push it in a certain way it hardly
move but if they push in a different way it goes very well.
They use science.
Science is all about finding out the best system in order to
make a particular thing works.
It doesn't really matter what that thing is.
Science does not have boundaries.
It is you that put boundaries to what science should or should not be.
So it is you who is choosy not me. SmileWink ShadesSmile

Thanks again for your tremendous contribution to the thread.
I know how busy you are so i am prepared to wait until the next
Christmas to tell me what is the real meaning of philosophy.
Sorry but at this stage i still can not give you one more kudos
but we will see in the future. Wink Shades

Sigh. Perhaps if you had studied 5-6 years at university you'd understand what science is!

As it is you clearly don't. What you're describing is trial and error. A mouse in a maze does that.

The thing is enrico, things (like science) have determinate meanings and definitions. You don't get to make your own. That's why people do those degrees you mentioned. Also why we have dictionaries textbooks and shiz.

The scientific method is a relatively recent development, certainly within the last 500 years. What you think of as science, observing patterns and drawing conclusions, is a different thing, and is observable in animals and children. It's gotten us a long way, evolution wise, but whatever you might think of it, it's not science. That's a big part of the reason that we've advanced so far in the last 200 years.

Well, if you are going to define science in such a broad sense then yes a man pushing a trolly involves science as there are many forces at work such as gravity, friction, air resistance. 2 year olds know how to push and pull things so I don't know why you consider that science. If I pick my nose, is that science?
Also you still haven't linked science and capitalism.
And are you just going to ignore the rest of my post. You know, the bit where you asked a ridiculously stupid question and I answered in full and showed what a half-wit you are?
