Oh no! Books change to reflect that people are learning! How can this science book be reliable if it doesn't stick to its guns and keep all the demonstrably false information and insist that it's true even though we can all literally prove that it isn't!

God's Word doesn't need to change because it is truth from the very beginning. Science changes as it discovers more about God's creation, unless, it tries to come up with an explanation for what is clearly God's hand.

Your implication here is that the bible doesn't change. However that is spoken in ignorance too.

The bible stories were generated in an era of competing scriptural authors. It was a gathering of diverse writings and slapped together by violence and political intrigue.

No biblical scholar that isn't stoned out of his head would say that it passed through history unchanged.

Not only that, the book itself is so erratic and vague that it has created thousands of differing interpretations that has resulted in thousands of sects. Each believing that "they" got the true message that the bible god magically imbued into the pages.

Science books are changed mostly by better elaboration and occasionally by new interpretations of observed phenomena. Since they do not lean on authority but rather observation and investigation, they do not suffer the misinterpretations and vagaries that the bible does.

He loves it, but he absolutely will not tell us a single detail of it. Either he hasn't actually seen it and is recommending it based on the trailer and the mean atheist professor in it, or "I like it because it bolsters my faith and confirms my pre-existing belief that everyone who disagrees with my position secretly agrees with me, but says otherwise due to a need to persecute me personally because of beliefs that we both share, but they won't admit ti," won't be such a ringing endorsement here.

I think it's more like , "I love it but won't share the details of what I liked for fear that they will be torn asunder, threatening my worldview and understanding of reality, and I won't dare entertain the notion that I acually live in a bubble because it is way too comfortable in here."

It drives me crazy that people can flat-out reject science, while sucking down their packaged snacks, not dying of smallpox, grab a can of soda from the refrigerator, jump on the internet and google some Bible verses and log on to post about how science is bogus.

Yeah, I'd like to remind the court that I asked Rev nine pages ago to let us all know what it was he found compelling about this movie, and we've gotten officially nothing.

He liked it so much he's willing to pay for our ticket, but not enough to tell us why he liked it. I get the feeling those reasons wouldn't last very long in an environment of critical inquiry, it's no wonder he's having to keep them safe.

I was hoping you go see it because I can't adequately describe it.
