This is the Problem

This is the Problem
That non-Christians think that the Old Testament is a Christian text and true believers of Christ are somehow bound to it by letter.

OT was a Jew law and does not apply to Christ believers anymore. That does not mean we can use the good things from it and discard the rest. I believe in the 10 commandments - does not mean I have to follow the OT.

Oh look, a new and innovative argument that's never been seen around here before. Sure convinced me! Praise jaysus.

Yet Jesus, if he existed, was an itinerant Jewish Rabbi, and he supposedly said that he had come to enforce the law, not to change it.

I notice you've conveniently ignored many of the awkward questions in the other thread.

Without the old testament, there would be no original sin and therefore no need for jesus. At what point does jesus say: 'ignore the old testament, I don't know what my dad was thinking, here is a revision of the 614 commandments. P.S. No more slaverly, its wrong.' You are a cherry picker. Your own morality and conscience won't allow you to continue following your religion with all of its frankly evil orders and messages. Most xians get by this by simple being unaware of it. You, on the other hand, choose to just overlook it.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

Weird to believe in 10 when Jesus endorsed only around half of them.

WTF ???

Not to mention Jesus IS God, so if jesus says the OT isn't mandatory, he's rendering all of his own previous divine instructions irrelevant. What a flip flopper.

Why do heretics and apostates get the idea they can preach and witness to atheists and 'SAVE' them ??

Heretics and apostates ARE NOT SAVED themselves !!!

Sometimes God has to do things just to show who is in command to stop humans from seeing themselves as superior and fearless.
