I am willing to debate. But not according to some code that will obviously be in favor of the non-believing side (considering this is an atheist forum). I want my side of the bargain too. I want fairness and impartiality. I demand that the rules of debate be governed by truth and fearlessness. I will only debate when these conditions are met!

We don't care about your side of the bargain. We don't care about whether anything seem to christains to be fair to christains. We care what is fair to both the evidence and methods of evidence evaluation that can independently be shown to be effective. That is the code.

The fact that rules of evidecne clear do not favor christains is neither the fault of the rules of evidence, nor of those who follow the rules of evidence. It is the fault of all the gullible, fraudulent idiots through the ages who are responsible for helping to mak you into the christard you are, and the fault of you yourself for falling so easily into a 1st century trap despite having been born in the 20th century.

@Christian - What an ass! Doesn't even know the code!

And BTW, your socks smell kinda funky. A familiar smell, but can't quite put a finger on it...

OT was a Jew law and does not apply to Christ believers anymore. That does not mean we can use the good things from it and discard the rest. I believe in the 10 commandments - does not mean I have to follow the OT.

READ 1 Timothy 2 - Which is a New Testament Book - so YOU therefore cannot claim your old testament bias against it

In the writing - it is the christ speaking - saying that he will NOT allow a woman to have any authority over a man - they should be SILENT and submissive to men - WHY? - because of "EVE's" sin .

Since it is without question that there was NO Adam and Eve - that is a fairy tale - the idea that the christ would use that as a reason to denigrate women to a lower status does not make sense - but then that is YOUR religion - not one I believe

DO you accept this as your religion and do you therefore treat women in the manner prescribed - and force woman to obey that part of the bible.

If not - then YOU are again making your religion a CAFETERIA _ choosing what to believe - and what not to believe.

Your claim that YOU accept the 10 commandments is NOT true. Remember - they are JEWISH laws - and the commandment is "Remember to keep Holy the Sabbath" - it is not - go to church on Sunday. The Sabbath day - established in the Jewish Calendar that existed at the time of the christ - and is NOT questioned in the bible by the christ - and that Calendar STILL exists today - establishes the Sabbath as being Saturday - but then YOU will somehow justify changing the day - even though it is NOT at ALL inquestion in realty.

Aww, how cute.

You know what is telling? You have given your debate/discussion skills a good outing here in this thread alone, so I had a basis for stating my opinion. I have literally never responded to you before that post, and you are gleaning from that one statement that I am outclassed? By you? Poor over-inflated ego.

You know what also is telling? I gave you two questions from previous posts that you have yet to address, and here you are claiming that you have answered all [our] questions. You responded to my opinion rather than reading the meat of the post.

And what is an unconditional debate? Are you using big words to make yourself feel like you can hang with us? I think so. By the by, if you want a debate, all that is required is a formal challenge, and a topic. I will gladly throw my hat in the ring for that, as would several of my cohorts here. There is a forum set aside for formal debates.

I want to debate. I am not good at debating but I want to anyways. Sadly I've only ever felt like I won during an abortion debate. Thanks to all the practice I got with Heywood I feel pretty confident in my abortion debate skills. I need to practice other areas.

I should put out an ad. Seeking level 1 debate theist for practicing debates. Should be mostly proficient in the English language and have basic elementary level debate skills.

Just to pick a nit, it isn't, in fact, Christ speaking. Second Timothy is a Pauline epistle. The speaker is Paul, not Jesus.

I've had a lot of practice at mass debating. Sadly. Does that count?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Missed you guys. This thread and all the posts in it remind me why I'm an atheist after being a believer from my childhood indoctrination until my late 20's. When someone is right you have to eventually accept it if you ever want to have logical beliefs about reality.

The atheist stance is obviously and logically sound.
