What's wrong with the train? I love trains in the UK,from the London tube to Brit Rail. Longest trip(in one day) was from Inverness (starting at Loch Ness) to Cambridge. Trains here are joke,both of 'em.
.My fondness for British trains turned to love when an nice lady came with trolley which had sandwiches and BEER!

Some time ago,I worked out that I've visited exactly 50 cities,including: London, New York, Vancouver,Paris,Rome,Tokyo, Athens,Manilla, Hong Kong,and Beijing.
In my opinion,Paris is the most beautiful city, Hong Kong the most exciting,and London by far and away the most interesting city in the world. [that I've seen; I understand Prague is stunningly beautiful]
PS: in London I take the tube and do a lot of walking.

London is a good place to tour, however, try travelling to it by road and you'll regret it and take a look at some of london's outer places like waltham stow. Nasty! I've been to London last year to pay a visit to the natural history musuem. I took the train but I always feel uncomfortable in packed places. I was born in a town, a town that is pretty well spaced out with plenty of fields and forests. When I paid a visit to a large city like London for the first time, it felt like I was on another world. Not used to being in crowded places.
London is a great place to visit yes, worst place to live in though and travel too. Bad experiances keep me from paying any visit to any city.

Nice try, but I hate the idea of going into cities. I'm too used to being in towns and villages. Plus I'm not very social and I almost never leave the town.
