Every school and college was Christian, you'd read from the Bible daily. Evolution is just a theory..There is plenty to counter what this guy/gal YGninja just wrote. I would not take him/her at their word, but continue to look at the evidence, jackriot100. Evolution is not a theory, it's a Theory. It's a detailed account of how life came to be as it is, from very simple origins. It is the only account which makes logical sense. A scientific Theory, (big 'T' Theory), is not a stab-in-the-dark, or a guess. Check out for yourself what a scientific Theory really is. This post of mine is almost brief as that of YGninja, and ought not to convince you of much. As I said, you must look at the evidence. How do you find the evidence? Well apart from going out in the field and digging it up for yourself, or taking trips to all the museums of the world, what you can do is you can read books, and watch movies made by people who have dug out the evidence on our behalves. I have seen many good science documentaries on TV, for example. Perhaps, jackriot100, what you might like to do is ask for people on this forum to give you pointers to some good resources, (loads of us have taken the time to look at what the evidence is, and how satisfactory it is). Perhaps with your aspiration to be an evolutionary biologist, you might one day be out in the field, or in the laboratory, further uncovering the evidence, and adding to our knowledge, jackriot100. Best wishes to you.
There are no atheists in terrorist training camps.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

It's always fantastic when people tell you what you believe. It really gives everything a good tinge.
Let's try it: "I recommend the first thing you do as a theist, YGninja, is asleast [sic] be honest to yourself and recognise [sic] that you not only believe in Jesus' divinity, you tacitly approve of slavery."
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Even the theists around here believe there are no gods, except one. All the non theists do is go one god further. Or one denomination of one religion further.

You know.... if a person has a lack of belief they are agnostic. We as atheists came to a conclusion that there is no such things as goblins, ghosts, demons, gods, angels, devils, supernatural etc. I find it funny for you to decide what a atheist is when you are on the other broad end of the spectrum.

We agree. Agnosticism is a lack of belief, atheists hold the belief that no such thing exists. Just there is a movement to redefine atheism which this kid has obviously fallen victim to, without even critically examining his own mind. (January 29, 2015 at 2:23 pm)YGninja Wrote: We agree. Full Definition of AGNOSTIC 1: a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable; broadly : one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god 2: a person who is unwilling to commit to an opinion about something <political agnostics> from merriam-webster dictionary. Just wanted to clarify. (January 29, 2015 at 2:28 pm)Xeno Wrote:(January 29, 2015 at 2:23 pm)YGninja Wrote: We agree.
