This is one of my favourites and I think it showcases the series better:
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
This was on when it originally aired and syndication in my house, and yes, we laughed at Archie. I realize now, I am really thankful for the show. It taught me as a child what my family thought of the issues it portrayed, in a lighthearted way. They wouldn't just bring this stuff up to talk about, and I may not have asked. I am thankful my family pointed out the absurdity of "poor Archie".
