I suspect he intended 'the left hand path' ironically. In any case, 'the left hand path' refers to occultism connected to breaking taboos and moral conventions. Atheistic Satanism merely regards Satan as symbolic of certain human traits. The atheistic Satanic Temple lacks the strain of self-deification and 'might makes right' attitude of LaVeyan Satanism and their practices seem to be faux occultism, at best...possibly parody.
I think the LaVeyan tendency to self-deify is misdirected and banal, and I certainly don't encourage it. The Satanic Temple seems more about making certain points about separation of religion and state in a satirical way. Especially the point that inroads by religion into government would have to include them.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

But it has the word "Satanic" in it, and therefore it is the antithesis of good and I don't need to look up anything else about it because obvious evil is obvious.

My definitions are fine. "The left-hand and right-hand paths are a label that refer to styles of magic and occult practices. Left hand path practices are associated with Satanism, Setian, Qliphothic magic, black magic and also, dark paganism. "
