What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What Do You Know Today That You Didn't Know Yesterday?
Not possible.  Australia is rabies-free.

Australian bat lyssa virus (ABLV). Closely related to rabies, but pretty rare.

There's a small (cat sized) marsupial in extreme southwestern Australia called the quokka.  They've been given the sobriquet 'The Happiest Animal On Earth', primarily because they have no fear of humans.

Since the advent of camera phones, quokkas are gradually becoming diurnal.  They seem to absolutely love having their picture taken, and more and more of them are being active during the day, because that's when people with cameras are out and about.  This isn't a food response thing, as it is strictly illegal to feed wild quokkas due to their vulnerable status.

All the quokkas in the images above are wild.

That second picture is totally meme-worthy.

Not possible. Australia is cannabis free.

Full disclosure: The above is a shockingly clumsy lie.

According to what I just saw on a History Channel documentary, Jean LaFitte sent men and supplies to Andrew Jackson prior to the Battle of New Orleans, but he wasn't actually present at the battle.  Read
