What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What Do You Know Today That You Didn't Know Yesterday?
Popeye is called Popeye because he doesn't have an eye - his eye is popped-out.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I only found that out once I saw the Robin Williams movie version mention it.

Also, only eleven songs managed to hit the tetrafecta of not only topping both the US and UK charts at the same time, but having the albums they appeared on top the US and UK charts simultaneously: "A Hard Day's Night," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Maggie May," "Night Fever," "Down Under," "Billie Jean," "Crazy in Love," "One Dance," "Shape of You," "7 Rings," and "Rain on Me."

And, yes, that's topping the album and singles charts in both the US and the UK at the same time. Also, I learned that trying to convey this idea is bizarrely complicated.

There was one week in April 1977 where “Knowing Me, Knowing You” hit the top in the UK at the same time “Dancing Queen” topped the US charts, but none of their songs hit the top in both America and Britain simultaneously. Hell, none of their albums hit the Top 10 in America.

Well done, America.

ASDA (Walmart) overcharged me by £0.89 on 550g Bisto gravy granules. I returned the product with receipt for partial refund and they complied and also gave me a
