It depends on which state you live in, as they all have different laws about what constitutes discrimination, but chances are denying to make a wedding cake because it would be used in a gay wedding is discriminatory because you're denying service based on their sexual orientation.
And no one is saying you can't believe what you believe or practice your faith. It's just that your faith doesn't trump other people's rights. As other people have said, this country has a rather sad and obvious history when it comes to choosing who can sit at the counter, and sexual orientation is just as intrinsic in a person as their race or disability. You may disagree, but that's how the majority of our society and laws view it. Moreover, as a purported business owner, you're obligated to follow the law. If you don't like those laws, vote for state legislators who will change them (assuming you're a citizen).
