Exactly. All of this reminds me of the story [crudely paraphrased here] of the two Buddhist monks who came upon a woman who needed assistance crossing a river. One of the monks wordlessly picked her up and carried her across. Once safely on the other shore, he put her down and serenely proceeded on his way. His companion, disturbed at this apparent breach of their orders to avoid contact with women, fretted over his fellow monk's supposed lapse. Finally, he could take it no more and asked, "Why did you sully yourself by carrying that woman?" The monk replied, "I put her down at the river's edge. Why are you still carrying her?"
