Setting aside for the moment the fact that spectrography is a well-understood phenomenon which does not change depending on what part of the Universe it's in, it is not used to to determine a planet's size.
Generally speaking, the laws of the Universe seem to work no matter where in the Universe we look. If you have evidence indicating otherwise, have you published it in a peer-reviewed journal?
