Wished I had gotten here earlier in the thread, sorry fellow Christians. Like I just said to Rhondazvous, there are many here that are mad at God and many of the Christians who were here in the past have said so also. Just because those atheist deny they are not mad at God they can't hide their real feelings, at some time or other they will show their true self. One doesn't have to come out and say they are mad and an atheist wouldn't because the others would be all over that person for claiming to be an atheist, so atheist are very careful not to say such a thing, they can't stand having the truth told, so denial is their only way out.
Min, Esq, Cin, Nei and many others, all that one needs to do is read with attention and see they are mad at God and His people, actually the better word here for what they do is hate, it's what Christ said of them.

Why you write it down and present it for all to see, most atheist here parrot each other, so much so nothing new is being added to good conversation by atheist. Look at your language, that seems to me to be an indication of what's in your heart.

I got back to this thread late, sorry atheists!

Wait, what? No one cares?
Anyways I got to this post and I just could not belieVe that GC is still parroting such a basic tactic of uncouth nature! I mean, we've been over this a thousand freaking times, Godschild. Why do you come here demanding to be listened to, if you're not even willing to listen to us? What say you to those who have luckily grown up not even thinking about god, much less your specific god?
Do you have any reasoning skills in that mind of yours at all? If I used to believe in your god and now I don't (citing a massive lack of evidence), then that means I don't believe in your god therefore why would I be angry at something that doesn't exist?
Maybe you keep getting the same answers from people all over the world who have had experiences with many variations of a god, for a reason. Here's a crazy thought GC--maybe you're the parrot and we are just trying to get it through your enormously thick skull that just because you ascribe to us emotions and feelings towards a being we don't even believe exists (and are apparently going to hellfire when we die for not believing) does not mean you're right. The "angry atheist" being angry at god and ignoring him like a petulant child is a misnomer. Former believers can be mad that they had their beliefs in a falsehood. I certainly am angry about he effects your religion had on my life including but not limited to : denying medical intervention for a deadly disease because of my belief in an imaginary being re-enforced by idiots not unlike yourself who were willing to advise me to stop taking doctors interventions in favor of allowing god to heal me instead. I ended up in the ICU being saved by those doctors. Looking back I am angry for a lot of things --like assholes telling me to risk my life (not theirs of course) for a completely made up reason! I'm angry sure, after growing up having been completely neglected and denied healthcare by my parents for religious reasons. Wouldn't you be mad looking back and hearing the night time screams of your 3yr old brother who had chronic ear infections and got treated at home with wine coolers and tylenol? Maybe he wouldn't be self medicating with booze and acid now as an adult, living in a homeless shelter and completely whacked out mentally to the point he disowned his mother for getting a divorce from an equally mentally ill father. All they do is spout hellfire verses, while we watch them kill themselves slowly "wishing to go home to heaven". Wouldn't you be angry too? Just replace Jesus and your god with any other deity/Religion as the main source of these problems for your own loved ones. Your little brother got meme giros and almost died, because: Allah. Your dad refuses medication for his mental and physical illnesses and is slowly dying in the name of: Allah. See? You can't be mad at what you don't believe exists. You can't be angry at imaginary gods for that, just the detrimental effects it had on your life and the people (including yourself) who got duped into believing something that is demonstratively harmful.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
