The misogyny issue has been going on for months, to the extent people are digging at Eillonwy over it all the time. It reached it's head in the objectifying women thread where 100% of the females said the males were wrong, but the majority of males vilified the females as wrong as the females couldn't make them understand. They're not females so they wouldn't... yet they still chose to marginalize the women over it. Go figure.
Ely had resigned before Tav posted that thread - where he references the objectification thread like some proof that Ely was wrong - how laughable.
The mass falling out over the way rule changes were handled also had a big effect, with both Eillonwy and Adrian saying they felt like quitting over it. The heart was ripped out then, and never recovered for some.
I think the "I'm out" thread sums it up well enough.
