I may have already said this somewhere deep in this thread, but a Christian is just someone who believe that they follow Christ. They existed before the Bible was assembled and they don't all agree about what should be in the Bible. So my basic answer is why not. They can be Christian and reject the whole Bible.
What annoys me is people who claim the Bible is holy and inerrant and reject bits of it. That's a position at odds with itself.

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
