The gospels perhaps does have some exaggeration of certain stories. The Gospels did not record everything Jesus said or did as Jonn says:
Joh 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
John is a book concerned more about theology than history anyways.
What Erham is talking about is a Biblical Maximalist who thinks the Bible does not have any flaws and is 100% perfect. However, no human books are like that, even the Bible
