BEASTIALITY

It's sex. We evolved subconscious attitudes toward all sorts of sexual activity which can't be reasoned from utility, empathy or any of the usual moral bases. Our attitudes towards bestiality are yet another example that we don't reason our way to our morals, we have a moral intuition and then we try to rationalize why. Bestiality is a clear example of this. It's an unconscious intuition that evolved for reasons we don't fully understand. Perhaps bestiality just bred itself out of the species. But that wouldn't explain the revulsion and taboo.

I don't know the reason why we have evolved to avoid bestiality, but it appears clear that we did.
