When a poll has, say, 5 respondents and 1 person votes differently than the other 4 then you automatically get 20% voting for "the other option." That doesn't mean that 20% of the people in the forums where the thread is posted believe or accept "the other option," it means that there was an extremely small sample size and the results are, therefore, highly unreliable.
It also doesn't mean that the people who voted for "the other option" actually believe it - and are not just fucking with the poll results.
