I suppose wording makes a big difference too.
If I said you were attractive, your feelings might be more positive than if I said I wanted to ejaculate in your mouth.
And the flip side, if I said you weren't particularly attractive might go over better than me indicating I'd rather chop my arm off than stick it in your butt.
