Proud of my state for once!

As for the fountains, KCMO has more working fountains than any city in the world.  Rome has more fountains, but many of them are ancient and do not work anymore.

St. Louis has (or had; it has been a while since I have seen either one) a better zoo than KC.  And I can tell you where to get good pizza in Columbia, MO, if that is ever of use to you.

I have traveled a good deal in the U.S., and think that you are lucky, relatively speaking, to be moving to KC.  I can understand one liking Madison, Wisconsin, or New Orleans, LA, but otherwise, one would have to go near one of the coasts to live in a better city.  (Wilderness areas, though, are another matter, and one might prefer some remote area in the Rockies to a city, depending on one's temperament.)

Of course, there are those who would disagree with me.  But there are always people who are wrong about things.

I go to St. Louis to see a specialist, every couple of months. I travel through Columbia on my way to visit my Beloved, every time I go, though I have little reason to stop there for food.

I'm giving serious consideration to trying to relocate to Denver eventually, once I build up enough of a client base to support moving the shop a second time. I'm also eyeing Santa Fe and (possibly) Portland.

For now, having failed to convince my Beloved to move here to SE Missouri where my shop is currently located, I'm just trying to get closer to them so we can all live together. I'd like to not sleep alone for ~27-28 nights out of every month, as is currently the case. Sad
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
