There is a point at which the snow ends, no matter how gradual or abrupt the change is. Otherwise, it would necessarily be snowing everywhere at once.

She wrote of a clearly demarcated edge to the snow, you said that it has to be that way, and it's not really the case. Now, if you meant a feathered edge when you wrote that, it wouldn't be relevant to her point. And if you didn't, 'tis much easier to simply say so and move on.
