As long as you see God as a "White bearded Zeus on mount Olympus", you'll never understand. Yet if you saw him as an eternal force that existed outside the plain of time & space, eternal and everlasting, was never born & never would he give birth, you'll start to see the concept..That's not a human deity.
The thing is, Jörmungandr, is that all our concepts as humans come from our relationship with other humans..take this example : if you drew your katana and delivered a fatal blow to me, it would be murder; in peoples' mind you'll be a cold-blooded assassin.
Yet, if a pack of wolves jumped me in the wild & ate the hell out me, people would not be that angry on the wolves; matter in fact if a guy came and called the wolves "murderers"; he would be out of his mind.
A wolf gotta do what wolf does : HUNT & FEED.
We accepted the wolves, the animal life, the natural disasters, and all, in our human minds as things that has to happen; facts that wouldn't changed, we made our peace with them. Can you get angry on earth for disturbing its layers to cause a tsunami that wiped out thousands ? or on the sun, being too hot that it caused a traveler to die on the road ?
in other words :
The slavery our minds see (which is always human slavery), is something different from the slavery to God. To be a creation, you must be a slave.
Do you compare THAT slavery, to "human to human" slavery ?
Just like the difference between the wolves feeding on me to survive, and your Katana blow.
It's not that much of a nonsense.

My example above, Rob. And why does that show only take a quarter of the screen, and not the full screen ?
