It's bullsh*t. We've been hearing about it for at least 20 years (although the acoustic effect has been known since 19th century) - and no reliable effects have been detected. "Raising brain activity" is just pseudo-scientific mumbo-jumbo. It's just another gimmick used and promoted by "alternative medicine" crowd...
