I was just sharing something, because it's the first time since coming to terms with being an atheist I have said the words, "praying for you". It was just such a cliche phrase I used and it seemed like the right thing to say at the time, even if it wasn't true. I guess I was just looking for some support or reassurance that I'm not a total assbag for being dishonest.

No, but my own parents don't even know. She is a devout Christian, but she isn't "in your face" about it. We've honestly not been in touch as much these days, as she's been traveling a lot with friends. She's just not in a good place emotionally since her father's passing, it just didn't feel right to talk about my lack of faith, especially since these trying times have had her feeling like hers has been tested.
