He'd have to prove he exists first. The proof would then be in the results of his work. Based on all my years living on this planet, the results look entirely uncoordinated and I can easily imagine an infinitely superior world with no suffering. So either God gave me an imagination which goes beyond his own power and also makes his work look exactly like the work of nonsentient processes, or he is choosing to maintain a world which is a mere shadow of what it could be. Or, more sensibly, that no one is in charge at all.
I agree has has to prove he exists, but how would he prove that he is good? Say he created the world that you imagine best and has all that you imagine is best, and even better. How would you know God is good then?
