Daniel, I'd also like to stress this point, if I may: you say you're here to convert people, so why on earth did you begin a conversation with a person who'd made a real overture to getting more information out of you by making uncharitable and disrespectful assumptions out of them?
Why would you ever begin a discussion with that much distrust and lack of care for the other participant if your goal is persuasion?
Your trust will be broken and your feelings will be hurt when someone tells you you're wrong and you need help. The cross is offensive but at the same time it is good news and one type of way I love someone is to tell them about Jesus whether or not they believe or not. I apologize if I was rude in any way. I still stand in my faith in Jesus.
