If souls are immaterial, what do they have to fear about going to hell?  I don't think you thought this through.

Unless, as was posted in another thread, gawd actually creates a physical form for deceased unbelievers for the specific purpose of making them feel pain. Since Jehovah/Yahweh of the OT is undeniably the worst monster ever described in human literature, that evil action would at least be true to his character.
